This week I was able to travel down to Savannah, Georgia to try a new restaurant. Little Duck Diner is located in the downtown area of Savannah and directly next to Ellis Square. If you're in the mood for diner food, then this is the place for you. Their website describes the place as a "vintage chic diner reminiscent of dining cars and diners of the late 20's and 30's with a contemporary twist." The diner has a wide variety of food options, all seemingly unique. Hungry for breakfast but it's dinner time? No worries, they serve breakfast all day and night listing it on their menu as an "all night affair." During this visit, I was not able to try the breakfast, however I will definitely be back to try it seeing how good others plates of these breakfast items looked. We will dive into the food reviews in just a moment!
Right when we walked in, I was captivated by how cute it was inside. This diner certainly had a chic atmosphere and was incredibly enticing. We visited on a Saturday night, so there was a crowd. However there is plenty of seating inside and room for larger groups. If there is a wait when you visit, plenty of restaurants surround this diner. Fun fact: Savannah, Georgia has an open container policy. Head to one of these other restaurants for a to-go drink and walk the area while you wait for your table to be ready! The service was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable. If you're looking for a very tourist-like restaurant, this is the one for you. In my opinion, it's a must visit for the experience.

Let's get to the good part, the food and drink review. First of all, like I mentioned previously, there is a wide variety of food options just like most diners! For me personally, it was so hard to choose what to eat because everything sounded amazing. Along with their food options, they also have a great drink menu for those of age. They don't call it Little Duck Diner for no reason. You will receive a miniature rubber duck in the specialty drinks you order. I absolutely loved this because not only was it unique, but it made for the cutest pictures! Our table ordered a round of mimosas (yes, even at 7pm). I had the peach bellini as my drink of choice. In all honesty, it really just tasted like champagne and not much of a peach flavor. If I were to get another mimosa here, I think I would stick with the classic. Nonetheless, I loved the little rubber duck included and the price of the drink was fair in my opinion. Got little ones who want to experience these adorable drinks and have their own little rubber duck? The cocktails on the menu can also be ordered non-alcoholic! The drinks get a seven out of ten rating, primarily because of how cute the idea is surrounding them. Food time! The majority of us at the table ordered the chicken bowl because it sounded good. Included in this bowl is grilled chicken, fried rice, tomato, cucumbers pickled carrots and daikon, cilantro, sautéed spinach, and sesame seeds. While this bowl was pretty good, it's definitely something you could make at home. The tomato part threw me off because it was full cherry tomatoes. If I were to get this again, personally, I would ask for it without the cherry tomatoes. The pricing of this entree was very fair. The portions here are great so you will definitely get your moneys worth. Another entree we were able to try was their signature grilled cheese. This was yummy and I definitely recommend it if you are a lover of grilled cheese! The food here also comes in at a rating of seven out of ten.
